Pariharam

As this is the place where Sun was relieved of his doshas, this place is a parihara sthalam for Pithru doshas caused by any planet. Also people born in Karthika, Uthiram and Uthiradam stars and those born in the tamil months of Chithirai, Aavani, Ippasi can worship Lord Shiva and Sun God on the first Sunday of the full moon fortnight to get relieved from all adverse aspects affecting them.

Pariharam Procedure

Devotees offer abisheka, vastras to Lord and Mother and contribute for the renovation of the temple.
