Pariharam Procedure

People perform abisheka to Lord Vinayaka under the Arasu and Vembu coupled together with the number of pots of water (Cauvery water) equal to their age. Those afflicted with ill effects of serpent planets install a stone serpent (nagar) under the Vanni tree. Also people perform Navagraha puja and tie the Mangal Sutra (sacred thread) to plantain tree.
